Aaron, Avery and I traveled to the Minneapolis area this past weekend for a little getaway. We had a blast! Everything from riding horse to riding roller coasters. First we stopped at the stable where cousin Lena boards her horse Skip. Avery had the chance to ride a small pony named Nutmeg. She caught on quick and was in love by the time we left. Hopefully the word "pony" won't show up on the Christmas list this year. After her ride we headed to Lena and Dave's for some grilling and a bonfire. So much fun! Sunday we headed into the "city" and stopped at the Mall of America. The look on Avery's face when we got inside reminded me of my first time there. Pure amazement and wonder. Our first mission was to stop at the American Girl store so Bonnie Alani could visit all her friends. When we were done there we ventured out to the amusement park. Fearless as usual, Avery's first ride was the roller coaster lol. After an hour of riding we headed home, exhausted. Can't wait to do it again!

learning to drive
time to put Nutmeg away
but first we have to clean out her shoes
shucking corn with Dave and his dad
so cool
watching Bonnie Alani get her hair done (yes they have a salon to do the doll's hair)
